Testified before the Subcommittee on Aviation of the Committee on Public Works and Transportation on November 15, 1989, regarding The FAA's Civil Penalty Assessment Demonstration Program.

- Addressed the Flying Rebels in Atlanta, Georgia on June 4, 1989, regarding the FAA's Civil Penalty Assessment Demonstration Program.
- Addressed the Florida Aero Club at its meeting in St. Petersburg, Florida on August 12, 1989, regarding:
(1) The FAA's Enforcement Practices, (2) Prosecutions Relating to the FAA's Medical Application Form, and
(3) The FAA's Civil Penalty Assessment Demonstration Program.

- Addressed persons in attendance at the Sun-n-Fun Meeting in Lakeland, Florida, April 7, 1991, and presented a paper entitled: "Defending False Statement Charges Related to the FAA's Medical Application Form".
- Organized and participated in a mock trial at the Sun-n-Fun Fly-In in Lakeland, Florida, April 10, 1992. Afterwards, gave a presentation on "Recent Developments in Aviation Law".
- Addressed the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 611 on July 4,1992, regarding the FAA's Civil Penalty Assessment Demonstration Program and H.R. 5481 reported out of the House Aviation Subcommittee on June 25, 1992.
- Addressed the Aero Club of Metropolitan Atlanta on the topic of FAA Enforcement Actions on January 11, 1994.
- Co-Chair of Aviation Law Seminar, presented by the Aviation Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia on November 6, 1997, in Atlanta, GA.

Personal Hobbies and Interests
Flying: Holds a commercial pilot certificate with instrument ratings in single-engine and multi-engine land airplanes. Alan is also a certified instrument flight instructor.
